File System Permissions:
The Mambo Open Source installation directory needs to be writable by the web server to allow this installation process to write the configuration file.

On a Windows system you probably don't have to worry about this. On a POSIX system you will need to change the owner or the group of the Mambo Open Source directory. This will be different on every system but an owner or group of apache may be appropriate. Use the system commands # ps -ef | grep httpd to detemermine the web server user. Consult with your system administrator for further information. It is NOT recommended to simply chmod 777 mos. This is one solution but very unsafe and we didn't tell you to do it!
